An outdoor dining area can be transformed using a Barrel Vault shade structure. Designed, manufactured and installed by Shade to Order, this tension membrane structure has provided the King Tide Café’s customers with a warm, dry and superior dining experience.

Positioned on the water at Brooklyn this area receives high winds and king tides. One of our engineered shade structures was the answer and will withstand cyclonic winds and last decades. Its innovative design allows the structure to be cleverly attached to the existing building and naturally drain.

The relationship between the three-dimensional design, steel columns, compression beams and the architectural fabric has created not only a usable outdoor dining area with excellent all weather protection but has also aesthetically complimented the existing building.

The use of one continuous membrane skin although more complicated during installation, gives exceptionally higher weather and visual performance than attempting to link separate structures together. The translucency of the fabric has still allowed for an abundance of natural light, keeping lighting and electrical costs to a minimum.

This stunning shade sail structure has a 20-year warranty and is manufactured from the highest quality PVC fabric and hot dipped galvanised steel for ultra-corrosive protection.

This outdoor awning and with the application of café style blinds and heaters, is keeping King Tide Cafés customers warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer and dry all year round.

This outdoor alfresco awning is a magnificent investment to the vendors already opulent home and will keep them cooler and healthier in the summer months and dry all year round.
