An outdoor recreational, dining or study area can be transformed using one of our waterproof polyedge shade structures. Designed, manufactured and installed by Shade to Order, this tension membrane structure has provided Northern Sydney TAFE’s students, staff and guests with a warm, dry and visually pleasing lunch, study and common area.
For the health, comfort and safety of their students and staff an engineered tension membrane structure was required and will tolerate severe weather and last decades. Its innovative design allows the structure to exist free standing without attaching to, or its loads compromising the existing building.
It’s three-dimensional design and steel columns combined with the highest quality architectural fabric has maximised Northern Sydney TAFE’s outdoor dining and recreation potential and has provided their customers and staff with profound weather protection. This polyedge has been uniquely designed to fit the specified area and as a result complements the existing surrounding buildings.
The use of one continuous membrane skin although more complicated during installation, gives exceptionally higher weather and visual performance rather than attempting to link separate structures together. The translucency of the fabric has still allowed for a profusion of ambient light, keeping lighting and electrical costs to a minimum.
This superb shade sail structure has a 20-year warranty and is manufactured from the highest quality PVC fabric, hot dipped galvanised steel for ultra-corrosive protection.
This outdoor awning with the application of heaters, is ensuring Northern Sydney TAFE’s clientele are kept warmer in the winter months, cooler in the summer months and dry all year round.
