A large Porte Cochere structure and an 80 metre walkway canopy protects patrons on arrival and departure at Wyong Rugby League Club and has also formed an impressive and iconic look for the existing building.

The Porte Cochere was required to be high enough to accommodate large tour buses but have that light airy feeling only a tension membrane structure can give. The translucency of the fabric has still allowed for an abundance of ambient light, keeping lighting and electrical costs lower. A night-time lighting excelled up into the fabric creates a soft glow to the entry.

One of our robust and engineered membrane structures was required and will tolerate severe weather, lasting decades. Its innovative design allows the structure to be attached to the club. A guttering system has also been integrated onto the structure for focused stormwater drainage.

The club now has an aesthetically pleasing feature to welcome patrons and their guests. The truss is nearly 30mtrs long and is retained at each end by two large stainless steel pins. Two curved rafters out from a large rolled universal beam turned up to act as a gutter help hold the truss in place. The 80mtr walkway finishes underneath the Porte Cochere to give a weatherproof entrance to the club from the car park.

This striking shade sail structure has a 15-year warranty and is manufactured from the highest quality PVC fabric and hot dipped galvanised and powder coated steel for ultra-corrosive protection.
