It’s the world’s first covered bowling green with a tension membrane structure, and one of the largest shade sail structures in the country. This massive canopy spans over two entire bowling greens and covers an area of 4000m².
All weather playability (providing steady cashflow), extended life span of synthetic greens and aesthetic appeal are just some of the benefits. Revolutionary design, cutting edge technology and industry leading workmanship all combine in this impressive structure.
Designed, manufactured and installed by Shade to Order, this tension membrane structure has provided Raymond Terrace Bowling Club’s patrons with a warm, dry and shaded bowling area.
For the health, comfort and safety of their clientele an engineered tension membrane structure was required and will tolerate severe weather and last decades. Its innovative design allows the structure to exist free standing without attaching to, or its loads compromising the existing building.
It’s three-dimensional design and structural steel combined with the highest quality architectural fabric has incredibly improved Raymond Terrace Bowling Club’s alfresco and bowling green area. It has also provided their customers with excellent weather protection.
This state-of-the-art bowling green structure is manufactured from the highest quality PVC fabric. The translucency of the fabric has allowed natural light to disperse through, keeping lighting and electrical costs to a minimum and allowing for optimum bowling conditions.
With the application of heaters, this double covered bowling green structure is ensuring patrons are kept comfortable, allowing them to host competitions rain hail or shine.
